I finally found out what I'm going to be doing this year. I will spend the beginning of the day with a deaf middle schooler and then go over to the elementary school and work with Kindergarten to Second grade kids with hearing loss. Hopefully I will be able to use more technology with them.

I have a job interview at Pennsylvania School for the Deaf on July 14. I'm not extremely nervous about it despite the 1 1/2 hour interview-probably because I don't see how they can pay enough. Well, I solved that problem. I needed to have a separate tile for each of the letters in all of the words. New problem-some of the color words have double letters. I can't set it so that the double letters can go into either place in the word-they just bounce back to their starting point. I got the great idea to include a drag and drop page for each of the color words so the children could practice spelling the words. I finally solved the problem. Somehow the frame I was using the button to go to, had directions to go back to the page I was starting on so everytime I hit the button I stayed where I was. Now it's working fine. I can't imagine making any really complicated games. I run into enough problems just with the simple things that I do.

I started the auditory version of the ABC fruit and vegetable game in PowerPoint. I had a meeting with my boss today to discuss the department web page. What is currently online is very cut and dry-a standardized page that follows the same boring format as every other department. I figured out how to stop the videos from disappearing. I had added a frame after the movie and put a stop command on the last frame of the video, but it didn't work. Next, I tried a go to and stop command telling it to go to the last frame of the video with writing on it and that solved the problem.
